A wide variety of pottery “Mino ware” produced in Tono, Gifu prefecture.
Mino ware, supported by a long history and tradition,
Tableware production accounts for about 60% of the national share,
It is no exaggeration to say that it is a representative of Japanese pottery.
Pottery that is casually used in daily life and melts into it without your knowledge.
That is “Mino ware”.
Mino ware has a long history, dating back more than 1300 years.
At first, the technique of Sue pottery was introduced from the Korean Peninsula.
In the Heian period (10th century), ash glaze called white porcelain was applied.
Pottery is now baked.

This white porcelain is an improved version of Sue porcelain that uses glaze.
Around this time, the number of kilns increased, and it became a full-fledged pottery production area.

From the Azuchi-Momoyama period to the beginning of the Edo period, along with the popularity of tea ceremony
A pottery that reflects the taste of the tea master was produced.
In the early Showa period, demand for luxury goods increased, and at the same time as mechanization, technology
It has improved significantly. Kilns are also from charcoal kilns to heavy oil kilns, shuttle gas kilns,
At the same time as it evolved into a tunnel kiln and a roller herskilln
It will lead to improvement of yield, uniformity of products, and mass production.
Fortunately, Mino ware, which has won many recessions without being hit by the war,
Nowadays, it boasts the largest production volume in Japan, both in name and reality.

◎ An important point of delicious Japanese green tea!
・ Be sure to boil the water completely once.
・ The most important point to enjoy Japanese green tea is to use good water.
・ It is best to use good water that has been passed through a water purifier, but tap water with a strong scent of karuki should be left overnight and used as a supernatant, or once it has been completely boiled, it should be boiled for another 5 minutes. If you boil it above, you can remove the odor such as tap water.
However, since water is used every day, we recommend using a water purifier for both deliciousness and safety.
・ Another point is that when you put Japanese green tea, do not put hot water directly into the teapot from the pot, but let’s try to cool the hot water with a tea cup or a hot water cooler before putting it in the teapot. ..
If you use a large amount of tea leaves and pour out the first cup to the last drop, the flavor will remain up to 2 cups and 3 cups.

[Standard amount of Japanese green tea (for 2 to 3 people)]
Amount of tea leaves: 5-6g (about 2 tablespoons)
Hot water temperature: 70 to 80 degrees (swaying to raise steam)
Amount of hot water: 180cc (60cc per person x 3 people)
Leaching time: Approximately 1 minute after closing the lid
